 | There isn’t a difference between a COSHH store and chemical store in all honesty. COSHH storage containers (COSHH standing for “Control of Substances hazardous to Health”) meet regulations required by the law where employers are required to control substances that is harmful and hazardous to health. These units are always tested and certified and are generally available as off the shelf pieces of equipment. The standard chemical stores we provide are usually custom built units when a bespoke requirement is there to be filled! |
Lion Containers (Chemical Stores) Ltd stock equipment from 8ft to 40ft in length (more bespoke sizes available on request). These units can be supplied with fully welded, sealed steel floors, 300mm bunds fitted to retain and hold and spillages and also extra ventilation louvres to the units to increase air flow within the store. These types of units are an excellent way of storing all kinds of chemicals such as paints, gas, fuels, oils and other hazardous chemicals that need to be stored away from the everyday working environment. It’s not just storing the chemicals which is the important part, it’s about how they are stored and ensuring they are secure. Whether that means fitting zone 1 electrics or IP rated electrics, ply lining and insulation, sinks and hand wash stations or another extremely helpful way of storing your chemicals safely once inside the unit is our shelving. This does not just help store chemicals into your unit but in fact helps you maximise the space and height within the unit, we can offer Heavy duty long span shelving which is made from a steel frame with wooden shelves or we can custom build full steel shelving to prevent any wood being in the unit (note, the original container floor is marine ply wood so this may have to be changed to durbar). |
