IP Rated Electrics for Chemical Stores

The IP Code (IEC standard 60529) stands for International Protection Code, it is sometimes called Ingress Protection Code. This code along with the two digits and letter that follow, shows the level of protection provided against solid objects, dust, and water within electrical enclosures.  It is published by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) and the level of protection is communicated via the stated digits. IP22 or 2X are generally used a minimim requirement for the design of electrical accessories to be used indoors. For example, an electrical socket rated IP22 is protected against insertion of fingers.
