Bunded Floors

A bunded floor is a form of secondary containment. We replace the standard 25mm marine ply wood floor with a bund to collect leaks, drips and spills, this prevents the spread of uncontrolled fluids, and protects against harm. Any spillage is emptied via a drainage sump. Bunds should be sized to hold 110% of the maximum capacity of the largest tank or drum. Maintenance of bunds is an important aspect, and a system of inspection should be in place to ensure the integrity of the bund.   • Sumped base with safety drain valve and suspended grated floor.
  • Durbar flooring with upstand.
